District 4 – Southern Oregon - Oregon Oldtime Fiddlers' Association

Welcome to District 4, representing the oldtime fiddlers of beautiful Southern Oregon! Our district covers the Rogue Valley and surrounding areas, including the communities of Grants Pass, Medford, Ashland, Central Point, Jacksonville, and more.

About Our District

Southern Oregon is a region of extraordinary beauty and rich cultural history. The Rogue Valley, framed by the Siskiyou and Cascade mountain ranges, has been home to musicians and artists for generations. District 4 carries on a proud tradition of oldtime music that resonates through the valleys and hills of Jackson and Josephine Counties.

From the Shakespeare Festival town of Ashland to the whitewater country around Grants Pass, from the historic gold-mining streets of Jacksonville to the orchards and farms of the Bear Creek Valley, District 4 draws musicians from across a region known for its independent spirit and love of the arts.

What Makes Us Special

The Rogue Valley has always been a crossroads — a place where the traditions of the Pacific Northwest meet those of Northern California. That blend gives District 4 its unique character. Our jam sessions are lively, welcoming affairs where you might hear a traditional Oregon waltz followed by a spirited breakdown.

District 4 members are dedicated to community outreach, regularly performing at senior centers and care facilities throughout the valley. We believe that oldtime music has the power to bring joy and connection to people of all ages. District 4 sponsors the Southern Oregon Fiddle Camp.

Whether you’re a local musician looking for a regular jam, a visitor passing through on I-5, or a music lover who just wants to tap your foot and listen, you’re welcome at District 4. Stop by one of our monthly jams and experience the warmth of Southern Oregon’s oldtime music community.
